A plane lands at LAX on a cool November morning. GI’s returning home after fighting in Vietnam. They look forward to home cooked meals, seeing love ones, and sleeping on a soft mattress. To some though, returning home is nothing more than a continuation of a war they hate.
Take Ruben Weston for instance. He served his country well for his enlistment in Nov. 1966 to his discharge in Nov. 1969. In that stretch he was wounded three times, rose to Platoon Sergeant, saved countless lives, and was well respected among the troops despite his rough and tough attitude. This story could very well be titled, “In the wrong place at the wrong time.” For Sergeant Weston, it is just that. Caution: Strong Language

Nick Hammond and Beth Carlyle have been friends since birth but have always been content to obey the rule that friends shouldn’t be lovers. As boundaries shift, feelings long ignored rise to the surface, jeopardizing Nick’s relationship with his girlfriend, his college education, and his future. Those aren’t the only consequences of that traumatic night, however, and before Beth can figure out if it’s simple gratitude or something much more she feels for Nick, she’ll have to overcome her fears in order to keep him out of trouble.

For two thousand years, the Human run empire known as the Alliance of Major Planets (AMP) brought peace and stability to the five galaxies surrounding and including the Milky Way. Advances in technology, and a strong set of fair laws, had allowed a peaceful expansion of Human ideals. As the alliance aged, corruption crept in, allowing an overthrow that placed a dozen ruling families in charge. Without clear leadership, the New Alliance has begun to decay, and without change, it will ultimately fail.
For Knog Beutcher, a three star veteran detective, living in the New Alliance is a struggle. He finds himself caught in the middle of the chaos as colonies rebel and populations riot. With the invasion of one of the galaxies by an external enemy, the alliance’s future becomes uncertain. Corruption, rebellion, intrigue and lawlessness have come to Knog’s world. His struggles have only just begun…
The OMEGA series is a follow-on series to AMP
